Ard Cherrymount stud is a leading sport horse breeder with a rich family history spanning over 50 years. In 2002, they embarked on a new chapter by acquiring this beautiful farm.

We’ve recently completed the commissioning of one of our solar installations for them. Additionally, the TAMMS 3 grant application for this installation was successful.

Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes.

TAMS 3, or Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes, offers financial grants to farmers for constructing and/or enhancing a designated selection of farm structures and machinery on their land.

Funding is provided to farmers for constructing and/or upgrading specific farm structures and equipment on their land.

The Solar Capital Investment Scheme aims to promote the adoption of solar technology, thereby lessening reliance on fossil fuels.

This scheme has a separate budget limit of €90,000 and will offer grants at an increased rate of 60% to support solar investments.

Structural changes.

These needed to be addressed under building regulations. We implemented the required safety measures by installing 16mm reinforced bars at 200mm intervals. This precautionary step aims to prevent any potential accidents during installation and ensures the protection of individuals working on the roof in the future.

The standard guarantees and warranty for single glass foil panels ranges from 12 to 25 years.

Glass-Foil

When a glass on foil panel is faced with harsh environmental elements such as winds, snow, hail, etc., they succumb to mechanical stressing. Often, in the case of foil backed modules an unfortunate result of this is that solar cells can easily crack causing the panel to permanently lose its yield.

The fundamental difference with glass on glass panels is that the delicate cells are situated within the very fiber of the composite. The key advantage here is that the cells bend with their surrounding structure and are never stretched or compromised. This prevents cracking of solar cells.
