Agricultural Solar PV: Discover Renewable Energy Solutions for a Greener Future
Financial Sustainability – Incentives For Solar PV In Agriculture.

Solar for Farmers
The Revised Agricultural Modernization Scheme (TAMS 3) offers substantial grants for Solar PV systems. Under this scheme, farmers can receive grants covering 60% of the costs associated with installing Solar PV systems. This Solar PV initiative is a standalone part of TAMS, distinct from other segments of the scheme. Furthermore, battery storage is eligible for funding, which covers up to 50% of the panel capacity.
To qualify for the TAMS grant, applicants must adhere to these criteria:
The minimum investment in Solar PV to qualify for the grant is €2,000, while the maximum investment limit is €90,000.
The 60% grant is exclusively for self-consumption (meaning that if you install a system larger than what your farm requires, the grant will only cover the portion deemed necessary).
Completion and submission of an Solar PV Survey is required, which must confirm that all electricity generated by the PV panels will be used on-site at the farm.
